• Continually processing and understanding large amounts of structured customer, product, and event data
• Building full-stack experiences and toolsets to help users visualize their data, understand their customers, and surface the most impactful insights.
• Revolutionizing how marketers leverage their customer data.
• Pioneer advanced solutions in integrating our data capabilities and platform into the operating core of the businesses and ecosystem we serve. (e.g., MarTech/AdTech/DataPlatforms)

About You

• 6+ years experience working with large-scale data-oriented systems
• Proven software engineering and ownership skills in production environments
• Excited about using functional languages (like Clojure!) in a production environment
• Interest in investigating and learning new technologies
• Worked to create elegant user experiences on top of complex technology
• Collaborative, inclusive, and obsessed with your customers' success.

Technologies We Use

• Open-source large-scale data engines such as Spark, Presto, and Kafka
• A web stack based on ClojureScript and the React family of tools
• Cloud-first automation deployed across many cloud platforms, including Apache Aurora and SaltStack.
• Random forests, logistic regression, and probabilistic databases

Remote Available

Amperity has headquarters in Seattle and NYC. We are also currently hiring in CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MN, NJ, NY, OH, OR, TX, WA.

Compensation

Base Salary: $170,000 - $234,000

Within our pay range, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Other Cash Incentives: For many of our positions, other cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity's total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
