Accertify’s Data Science team is looking for a skilled “Senior Manager – Machine Learning Engineer” with a focus on managing Accertify’s MLOps platform and supporting the model monitoring and reporting framework. This individual will use their software development background and strong analytical skills to help build and enhance Accertify’s industry-leading tools with a focus on interacting with our large datasets. This individual’s day-to-day work will involve developing production-ready codebases in Python, following SDLC and MLOps principles, analyzing data using SQL, Spark (Scala/ PySpark), and utilize overall DS hardware infrastructure expertise to maintain, design and build software solutions that are fast, scalable and flexible.

 

At the Senior Manager Level, the employee typically does not have a people leadership role but is often viewed as a subject matter expert and/or mentor to managers and analysts. Possesses the expertise, knowledge and seasoning to work on projects of high sensitivity or importance. Works relatively independently and is responsible for driving consequential decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop the ML model monitoring and reporting codebase aligning with the existing MLOps framework
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring systems
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software for ML workflows in a production environment
  • Manage intricacies of maintaining and supporting the MLOps infrastructure
  • Produce maintainable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions following SDLC best practices
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise and ownership for your team’s services
  • Elevate the performance of colleagues through training, mentoring, and promoting best practices
  • Experiment with technologies and propose solutions to colleagues including architects, data scientists and leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience with 5+ years of experience OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience with 7+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and software architecture background in an enterprise setting
  • High volume transactional environment experience
  • Strong Relational database skills (SQL, JDBC - Oracle and PostgreSQL preferred)
  • 4+ years software development experience as a Python developer
  • 2+ years experience in Spark and NoSQL databases such as MapR DB, Cassandra etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in deploying ML models in production and familiarity with MLOps
  • Understanding in statistics and Machine Learning concepts such as model selection criteria, parameter tuning, A/B Testing
  • Big Data Components/Frameworks such as Hadoop (MapR), Spark etc. and the knowledge to perform ETL and compute in a distributed computing environment

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
