Role Description and Key responsibilities: 

• Drive user story analysis and elaboration, design and develop software applications, and test and build automation tools.
• Own technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.
• Working closely with AI/ML teams, Data Scientists and Product Owners in analyzing business features and refining them to appropriately support design and build activities.
• Perform hands-on software development, typically spending about 80% of time writing code, API specs, proof of concepts, code reviews and testing.
• Combine Data Science and Engineering skills to solve interesting problems.
• Drive consistent development practices - tools and common components.
• Develop deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains.
• Work with technical product managers contributing to blueprints and assisting with annual planning of feature sets.
• Identify opportunities for adopting new technology to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.
• Effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on solution design 
• Mentor other engineers

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required.
• 2-6 years of software development experience with proven hands-on expertise in application development
• Design and development using Java, Python
• Experience with React, Node.js, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, DB’s, RESTful API development and Micro-Services design, Knowledge of Vert.X/Springboot framework.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, or any other relational database, XML and JSON file formats
• Knowledge of Docker or OpenShift containers for cloud-ready application deployment

• Good communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to designers, product managers and business partners in ways that are meaningful to them.
• Strong analytical & strategic thinking skills, Ability to interpret technical /business objectives and challenges.
• Great attitude and approach towards innovation and transformation in product delivery
• Exposure and up to date with industry reference of tech trend and solutions

Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
