As a valued member of the technical marketing engineering (TME) team in AMD’s Data Center GPU & Accelerated Processing product management organization, your role is pivotal in shaping and building the entire customer journey, from the very first point of contact through to development and mass production. You are entrusted with the crucial task of ensuring that our customers can hit the ground running, with clear and straightforward information about our products and software at their fingertips. Your contribution will play a vital part in cementing our reputation as a customer-centric company that is committed to excellence at every turn. RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate closely with AMD’s AI software engineering team to produce and update essential customer-facing content, ensuring it's both accessible and informative. Gain expertise in AMD’s ROCm software and familiar ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, and use this knowledge to create outstanding documentation and training resources. Design and manage a comprehensive library of technical materials, including manuals, guidebooks, application notes, and READMEs, to support and educate our customers on AMD's data center GPU solutions. Stay current with software developments, updating and aligning documentation with the latest software releases to provide customers with relevant and practical information. Generate well-documented code examples, recipes, and containers using AMD's ROCm stack to guide users in effectively running AI-centric tasks and benchmarks. Proactively gather and integrate feedback from technical experts to ensure documentation meets real-world application and customer requirements. Lead by example to improve the team's technical documentation capabilities, mentoring colleagues to achieve documentation excellence from initial development through to release. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Bring a wealth of experience (5+ years) to the table in running and optimizing AI workloads with GPU or AI accelerators at scale. Show off your programming prowess in Python & C/C++, adhering to the highest standards of software design practices. Demonstrate familiarity with documentation construction for software using tools like Read the Docs, MarkDown, and Jupyter Notebooks. Have a proven track record of writing both explanatory and procedural content tailored for technical audiences. Be well-versed with the suite of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other utilities pivotal in crafting and distributing customer documentation and training resources. Boast hands-on experience with GPUs, FPGAs, or other machine learning accelerators, including a solid understanding of HIP, CUDA, ROCm, or OpenCL. Possess a history of engagement with customers in high-tech sectors, particularly within hyperscale datacenter or high-performance computing (HPC) landscapes. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required. MS or PhD a plus. LOCATION: Santa Clara, CA or remote. While this position allows for remote work, candidates located in Santa Clara, CA area are preferred for this role. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
