AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE The Director of Hardware Design Engineering will lead the development and execution of all hardware design initiatives within the organization. In this role, you will manage a team of verification, RTL, and PD engineers, oversee all related processes, develop and implement flows to ensure quality control, and work closely with other departments to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage a high-performance team, cross-discipline on complex projects that span multiple products Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive AMD's success Define, implement, and enforce engineering processes and best practices to improve productivity and product quality Develop and manage project plans to ensure project goals and milestones are met Work with executive team to develop strategies that align with business objectives Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation Develop and implement processes to ensure quality control throughout the development process Work with other departments to ensure that verification projects meet business requirements and timelines Monitor and report on project status, risks, and issues. Drive technical innovation and product differentiation by staying up-to-date with industry trends Evaluate new design tools and technologies and make recommendations for adoption Foster a culture of continuous learning and development among the team Strong people skills. Able to manage contentious discussions Recruit, develop, and retain top verification talent WORK EXPERIENCE 10+ years of experience in hardware verification, with at least 5 years in a leadership role BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience with hardware verification using industry-standard tools such as C++, SystemVerilog, UVM, and VCS Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Familiarity with Agile methodologies Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, mentor, and develop engineering teams Strong communication and presentation skills, both technical and non-technical Proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and on budget Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. #LI-PD1 #HYBRID Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
