Description
- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. We are looking for an outstanding business intelligence engineer to join our team in building and maintaining end-to-end data and analytics solutions that drive business insights. On the Seller Support Global Process Management team, you will be surrounded by people that are exceptionally talented, bright, and driven, and believe that world class BI is critical to our success. To help build this growing team, you must be highly analytical and possess a strong passion for analytics and accountability, set high standards with a focus on superior business success. We are looking for a BI Engineer to build scalable and robust AWS infrastructure to build world class reports, dashboards, automation and analytical insights that enable Seller Support to drive meaningful change in the Seller experience.

We are looking for someone who has experience building data analytics and automation infrastructure using AWS tools with motivation to expand their toolkit and contribute to the development of AI solutions. These solutions and the underlying pipelines will need to be scalable worldwide and meet Amazon’s high standards for data security and privacy compliance. This will require that you anticipate customer needs, consider edge-cases to mitigate potential risks, and feel comfortable solving tech problems which may have ambiguous solutions.


Key job responsibilities
• Provide robust BI solutions for complex problems, that are extensible and scalable.
• Design, develop and manage cloud-based analytics tools to develop self-service/automation capabilities.
• Analysis of historical data to identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations
• Collaborating with partner teams to implement analytics systems and data structures to support large-scale data analysis and delivery of machine learning models.
• Work with partner teams to understand their data/insight needs and build mechanisms that deliver on those needs.
• Develop a deep understanding of Seller Support data and processes.
• Identifying data needs and driving data quality improvement projects.
• Work with a variety of data sources and tools to develop efficient and scalable data pipeline infrastructure to support the transfer reduction program.
• Build knowledge of latest technologies, tools, methodologies, and best practices and distill that information across the analytics organization.
• Actively manage the timeline, communication, risk mitigation, and deliverables of projects.
• Write high quality code to retrieve and analyze data and build data visualizations to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations.
