Mechanical Engineering Program Manager, Data Center Design Engineering

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, data science or related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytical software such as Tableau, Salesforce, Power BI, etc.
- Experience in commercial building design and/or construction industry.
- Understanding of building plans, project specifications, and building controls documentation
- Advanced certifications/licenses (EIT, PE, PMP, LEED, etc)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. As Program Manager, you will be supporting the Mechanical Design Engineering Team whom is responsible for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection design in AWS's State of the Art Data Centers.

Our Data Center Design Engineering team has doubled in size over the last 2 years. Due to this growth we need a collaborative, organized, and innovative Program Manager (PM) for data analysis, database development, data entry, and basic building design and construction related support. Additional duties may include making quarterly Basis of Design (BOD) updates, implementing design standards, expanding energy saving concepts and developing building construction documents. In this role, the PM will work with a best in class group of engineers to produce construction documents for bidding and assist senior engineers with detailed project work. As the Program Manager for the Mechanical Design Engineering Team, you will provide data entry and analysis, database building, data entry automation for interface with partner teams, and basic development of building construction documents and specifications. Key job responsibilities
Provide direct program management support for the Mechanical Design Engineering team responsible for Data Center HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Provide Data entry into existing data analysis tools.
• Design and develop dashboards and reports to track project performance, key metrics and KPIs.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives within the design and construction workflows.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain data to support technical decision-making.
• Plan, execute, and monitor Scrum sprints to ensure effective team collaboration and timely delivery of projects and initiatives.
• Coordinate with partner teams such as construction, commissioning, and operations teams to answer requests for information.
