Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. As a Creative Director and people manager in the Brand Innovation Lab’s Premium Content Production team, you will be leading one-of-a-kind campaigns for a wide range of global brands from creative brief to launch. You'll partner with solutions managers to lead Prime Video Sponsorships, innovations and campaigns. You'll be responsible for managing direct reports that may include art directors, copywriters, designers, and solutions managers. You and your team will partner closely with content producers and design technologists to create innovative programs using the full Amazon’s canvas (i.e. Alexa, Twitch, IMDb, Prime Video). You'll lead projects and own client relationships, focusing on creating work that benefits the end customer while pushing the creative envelope.

Through a deep understanding of Amazon’s suite of tools and services, CD’s recommend a campaign framework that balances advertiser goals with customers’ expectations of frictionless commerce.

In this role, you will craft high-level creative strategies that solve business needs for brands. You’ll think across Amazon platforms and beyond, manage complex projects, and create tailored content across channels driving the marketing objectives of advertisers. You will effectively communicate with key stakeholders and external media and creative agencies. You will work with senior leadership to create processes and establish best practices that impact the broader department. And finally, you will work towards preserving the team culture of collaboration, teamwork, innovation, inspiration, and foster positive internal and agency relationships. You’ll provide mentorship to a variety of creative disciplines, developing their skills and helping guide their careers forward.


Key job responsibilities
* Define the creative strategy for multiple advertisers
* Concept, design, and execute innovative ad campaigns and experiences for global brands‑from developing the creative brief to launching the campaign.
* Independently direct campaigns and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external agency partners
* Develop and manage the careers of direct reports, providing feedback and coaching opportunities
* Direct creative disciplines outside your area of functional expertise and provide feedback in all stages of the creative development process
* Partner with and/or lead art directors, copywriters, designers, solutions managers, developers, and content producers to create customer-focused solutions that deliver on advertiser objectives
* Deliver high-quality copy for campaigns across different Amazon touch-points
* Provide in-depth understanding of copywriting for all formats—digital, print, out-of-home, video and audio scripts, and more
* Synthesize strategic research and/or data to develop campaign ideas
* Lead the creation of presentations; present ideas and concepts to clients, agencies, and internally
* Make creative trade-off decisions between teams, clients, and end-customer needs
* Measure and evaluate current processes within the department and improve them through documentation
* Mentor and inspire other creatives
* Design trivia, AR, and other innovation experiences
* Reviewing and improving campaign ideas and presentation decks
* Working through creative messaging feedback with Legal and PR
* Presenting a campaign to brand clients and their partner media agency
* Writing documentation to improve creative processes
