Allegion is looking for a passionate Staff Engineer to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management.  You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage a small team of engineers responsible for the sustaining engineering of mechanical locks products.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, quality, and reliability of mechanical locks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, and quality, to ensure seamless integration of sustaining engineering activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to mechanical locks, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop leadership capabilities through the facilitation of team objective planning, performance and coaching conversations, career growth discussions, and engagement action planning sessions with your team.
• Learn to manage project budget and other key fiscal responsibilities for a single group.

What you need to succeedr:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of [5] years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on locks or related products.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical locks design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to travel to Mexico.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Salary Range: $70,700 – $131,300. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
