Key Performance Metrics:
- Quality and Robustness of Software: Drive the creation of reactive microservices in Java that:
- Efficiently manage customer orders.
- Expertly control and synchronize robots within the system.
- Oversee various facets of the robotics system.
- Monitor and analyze essential metrics.
- Documentation and Modularity: Ensure that all software produced is modular, maintainable, and accompanied by comprehensive documentation.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Establish robust communication and collaboration mechanisms with the electrical, mechanical, systems, and safety teams to:
- Define precise software requirements.
- Streamline the integration of software with other system components.
- Technological Innovation: Stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies and:
- Continuously evaluate their potential benefits.
- Lead the integration of promising technologies into our robot control system software.
- Java Mastery: Demonstrated experience in core Java development (preferably Java 8 or above), particularly in the domain of robotics and/or automation systems products.
- Reactive Systems: Proven experience in designing reactive microservices or building event-driven distributed systems leveraging asynchronous actors and messaging.
- Messaging Platforms: Demonstrable expertise with messaging platforms such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalents.
- Database Proficiency: Experience working with NoSQL databases and in-memory caches, e.g., Redis or similar platforms.
- Networking Acumen: Solid grounding in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.
- Testing Excellence: Displayed proficiency in Unit Testing utilizing tools like Junit, Mockito, or their equivalents.
- Agile Practices: Demonstrated success in agile environments, emphasizing iterative development, feedback, and flexibility.
Holds a B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
