We’re looking for Senior Front-end Software Engineers that have a strong interest in both cloud-computing & AI in order to help build our complex data-processing solution alongside our world-class tech teams.

Our Technical Leads will form feature teams - consisting of Software Engineers, Data Scientist, Product Managers & Product Designers - for 3-week Agile methodology sprints.

Teams change every 4 sprints, allowing you to work with our entire team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers over time, providing technical value, overseeing the design and development of our software, and ensuring that we maintain world-class engineering.

As a Senior Front-end Software Engineer you’ll:

• Be one of the technical references for front-end technical subjects such as architecture and guidelines;
• Work with our Product & Design teams to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
• Maintain, evolve and evangelise Akur8’s front-end software development best practices (clean Code, automation test, reliability) to engineers, making sure that they are followed
• Design and build complex systems, focusing on performance, scalability, security, as well as crafting an attractive user experience
• Testing as a part of the development process through unit, integration and E2E tests;
• Collaborate with backend engineers to deliver our machine learning pipelines.

TECHNICAL STACK: Angular 15 / Typescript, NgRx, RxJs, Java 17 / Spring, PostGreSQL, Redis, AWS, Python 3, Terraform.

We're looking for an innovative and rigorous mind that has a solid technical background and a track record of helping their team grow.

• A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience as a Front-end Engineer OR Senior Full-Stack Developer with an emphasis on Angular 2+ (OR React with ability to quickly learn Angular).
• Excellent knowledge of both RxJS and Typescript;
• Strong appetite for design and CSS, how to produce reusable components and desire to collaborate with our product and design teams
• Knowledge of data structures and related algorithms and their implementation in code & databases.

• Good communication skills and a will to share your knowledge with your team ;
• Ability to produce good quality code and a good knowledge of software development best practices ;
• Curiosity for Machine Learning, interest in the latest technologies and a willingness to gain new competences;

• A fluent level of spoken English.

Additional bonus skills:

• 2+ years of prior experience of backend projects in Java/NodeJS/C# or similar;
• Knowledge of database design in MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB;
• A strong experience on testing with Cypress or Storybook ;
• Working experience using ng-mocks / Harnesses ;
• Experience with micro front-end architecture.
