An opportunity for an IT System Architect - Electrical Systems (d/f/m) in the context of Aircraft and Electrical Systems has arisen within Airbus Commercial. If you consider that these concepts: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Lean/ Agile are valuable as we do, you might be the right person for this role. Within the IM "Technology services" domain, you will belong to the multifunctional team of Aircraft and Electrical Systems. This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

• You will analyse and translate business needs into information and technical requirements matching the architectural blueprint

• You will secure the integration of solutions across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives

• You will ensure consistency across IT products

• You will anticipate future needs and possible electrical solutions, from concept analysis up to feasibility by defining, developing and certifying them

• You will participate in and support electrical strategy and technical roadmaps

• You will ensure services are provided by effective & efficient liaising with external service providers

• You will be accountable for the design quality and delivery commitment towards customers

• You will develop and improve technology services strategy and standards taking into account Airbus Group integration and business development (Program, Operations, Extended Enterprise, Export Control, Cyber Security, Activity ramp-up)

Desired skills and qualifications

• You bring a passion for multi-cultural collaboration working within large scaled agile teams and you have a quality, customer and security-first mindset.

• You have solid experience in leading the technical design and development of modern IT solutions.

• You have a proven track record of delivering software solutions using continuous integration and continuous deployment techniques to a cloud based environment.

• You are well able to abstract, present and explain technical decisions and solutions to an international diverse audience from different business backgrounds.

• You are strongly familiar with at least one cloud hyperscaler (AWS / Azure / GCP).

• You have a strong technical data management background with knowledge in at least one relational (PostgreSQL/ MySQL / MS SQL) and NoSQL database system (Cassandra / MongoDB / Redis / Neo4j).

• You bring a strong technical software development background with knowledge in at least one programming language (Typescript / Python / Java / C# / Go).

• You are able to design and optimise application architecture focussing on performance, maintainability and testability.

• You bring knowledge in Computer Aided Design Applications (Dassault CATIA / Dassault 3DX / Siemens NX / Siemens Capital).

• Ideally, you already bring domain knowledge in electrical harness, circuit design or in aeronautics.

• You are fluent in English. 

Business Travels

This role will involve some travels for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly. Current estimation is once every 1-2 months.
