In order to support the ‘Mechanical Systems and Products FHN’ department in the development of CFRP structures, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an

Intern in Mechanical Engineering, Lightweight Structures Manufacturing (d/f/m)

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Planning and evaluation of CFRP test samples manufacturing

  • Production of CFRP samples and test components in the CFRP workshop

  • Literature survey and scientific evaluation of results in English

  • Support of the project management

  • Documentation and presentation of results

Desired skills and qualifications

  • You are an engaged and motivated full-time Student (d/f/m) within Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Composite Engineering, Materials science,  or similar

  • Knowledge and “Hands On” experience with CFRP composite materials are beneficial

  • Knowledge of the test results evaluation is beneficial

  • Good knowledge and experience with MS Office

  • Good German and English language skills are mandatory

  • Good communication skills required

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
