What you will do:

As a Project Manager, you will lead the development of task order proposals; support the management team in tracking task budgets, monitoring activity schedules, and implementing product quality standards; and otherwise support the Program Managers.

The Project Manager will provide leadership in the management of design, technical and administrative staff on a wide variety of complex projects worldwide.

In this role, you will provide leadership to the team by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms, and schedule. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • In partnership with the Project Director, Sr Manager and/or Project Architect, you will lead assist in leading a team, or multiple teams in the delivery of a wide range of projects
  • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors
  • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
  • Ensuring project completion within budget, schedule and in conformance with specifications
  • Reviewing contracts and sub-contracts and assisting to manage subcontractors
  • Monitoring project financials and reporting to the Project Manager
  • Developing and maintaining design schedules for approval
  • Resolving field-initiated questions with the technical design team
  • Coordinating and directing activities among the design groups
  • Participating and attending design review meetings and recording meeting minutes and tracking action items
  • Coordinating the development of project deliverables with the design team
  • Participating in building and maintaining a positive client relationship
  • Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.

 

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering, plus a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience managing multidisciplinary projects, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Registered Architect
    • Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship only is required
    • Demonstrated experience with DoD projects
    • Demonstrated experience in managing subcontractors
    • Position will require travel domestically and possibly internationally   
    • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 12+ years of relevant experience in design management and resolving issues 
    • Experience in services during construction, including answering RFI’s and reviewing submittals
    • Be client facing and lead client discussions
    • Proficient in MS Suite, SharePoint (or similar collaboration tools) and remote communications applications such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
    • Experience negotiating project scope, fees, managing project financial performance, and ensuring fiscal responsibility for projects through the design process.
    • Revit and BIM experience as well as experience in Photoshop, Microsoft Office.
    • Skilled in oral and written communication
    • Support projects within the last 10 years through all phases of design and construction.
