Payment Solution

As Senior Java Software Engineer you will build and improve integrations at a global scale for in-store and online payments. We make sure that our merchants and partners have a seamless integration with the Adyen platform.

At Communication Platform, we are responsible for engineering the backbone of customer communications. We design and develop a cutting-edge platform that facilitates all types of communications to our customers, ranging from critical system updates to exciting product launches. Working with technologies such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Java, our primary focus is on building a scalable and high-performance system. Our mission is to ensure that messages are delivered promptly and reliably to the intended recipients. As enablers for other teams, we empower them to leverage our platform for their communication needs. Who you are:

• You have experience with Core Java, web services, REST APIs and SQL/PostgreSQL
• You enjoy working on automation and improvement of internal processes with cross-functional teams
• You are able to define, implement and monitor performance KPIs to quickly identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems
• You like to challenge the status quo and ask the ‘why’ question
• You think about how businesses would consume and benefit from your changes
• You enjoy to work together with Product Designers and Frontend Engineers
• You have a sharp eye for detail, like to work precisely yet pragmatic
• You know how to get things done while reaching out and involving other people to hear different perspectives
• Good to have experience using Gradle, CockroachDB
