Advisor360 team is seeking a Database Engineer with a strong operational background to build and enhance databases in a hybrid-cloud environment. This role will require a balance of tactical and strategic, ranging from the ability to deep-dive customer impacting issues in real-time to driving long-term data strategy and implementation. This is a HYBRID role whereby you must be available to work onsite a minimum of 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify patterns that affect the performance, durability, reliability, or availability of our databases and eliminate through the application of automation or other technical innovation
- Establish and deliver on a long-term technical vision for overall data strategy, work alongside service teams to eliminate a monolithic application and shift to microservices
- Lead and document database best practices for other cross-functional team members
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies, bring new ideas and approaches to the teams.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA, Database engineer, or similar role
- 5+ years of experience with RDBMS systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL)
- 4+ years of leading database design and architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling, and performance)
- 3+ years of experience in one of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, or Perl
- Experience in UNIX shell and SQL
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with NRDBMS systems (Cassandra, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB, MongoDB)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools, development lifecycle, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Experience with maintaining and operating hybrid-cloud environments
