Job Description

We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join our esteemed organization as a Performance & Reliability Engineer with expertise in cloud technologies and databases. We are seeking an expert in Cloud infrastructure performance, particularly in data storage systems. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing data storage infrastructures to ensure high performance and reliability. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze and resolve performance related issues, with a particular focus on database queries, data storage, and data lakes. In depth knowledge of at least one of the major cloud providers Azure, AWS, or GCP is required. Responsibilities:

• Work with other team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance, query Analysis and Database Optimization, identify inefficiencies and performance bottlenecks;

• Ability to utilize common market resources/tools also provided by cloud providers to optimize infrastructure performance and ensure scalability and reliability. Resolve performance issues, including slow response times, latencies, and congestion;

• Infrastructure and Optimization Design. Expertise in query analysis and performance optimization;

• In depth knowledge of relational and non relational databases. Employ best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the services;

• Advocate for best practices and design patterns in infrastructure architecture, ensuring high-quality.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field;

• knowledge of software principles and architectures;

• Practical experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: Powershell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, Bash etc;

• Preferred Previous experience with IaC languages, for example: Terraform;

• Experience in designing and optimizing data storage and retrieval strategies for SQL and NoSQL databases;

• In depth knowledge of at least one of the major cloud providers Azure, AWS, or GCP is required;

• Competency in using technologies and frameworks for managing synchronous and asynchronous flows e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, REST;

• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to collaborate in a team;

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies;

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and practices;

• Relevant certifications e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate are a plus.
