Senior Data Quality Engineer, Business Metrics

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data models to support business and financial reporting and analysis
• Design and implement testing frameworks to validate data models and data integrity, ensuring they meet all functional and business requirements
• Monitor and analyze data quality, identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies in business data and proactively resolve issues in the upstream systems
• Implement best practices for data handling, cleansing, and processing to ensure integrity and accuracy
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and refine data models to improve analysis and reporting capabilities
• Proactively solve problems and suggest process improvements
• Generate routine and ad hoc reports to track the health of financial data
• Stay updated with industry standards and technological advancements relevant to data quality and financial data management

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in  Data Engineering, Data Quality and/or Analytics capacity. High-growth or tech environment is a plus
• 4+ years of SQL development experience, familiarity  with  at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
• 2+ years working with financial data, strong understanding of financial metrics and reporting requirements
• Experience with modern data stack tools, including dbt labs (data modeling), Snowflake (Data Warehouse), ThoughtSpot (BI)
• Knowledge of the Salesforce data model is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong ability to build collaborative, productive relationships with colleagues/teams across Clari
