Job Title: Core Developer (Summer Internship)
Beacon Platform provides a number of core services (written in C++, Python, and Go) and Web applications (Python, JavaScript) running on Amazon’s AWS. These include a dependency graph framework, a batch scheduler, a grid scheduler, developers and operations tools. Your job will be to improve and extend them based on user feedback and long-term plans. You will also write and improve documentation, and give internal and external presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop core applications and services for Beacon platform.
- Collaborate with other teams and clients to find out their needs and requirements.
- Write internal and client-facing documentation.
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures is required.
- Familiarity with Python is required.
- Experience and interest in programming languages, distributed systems, cloud computing, operating systems is a plus.
- Experience with C, C++, Go is a plus.
- Experience with JavaScript and Web development is a plus.
