Data Engineer (Databricks Specialist)
Position Overview:
We are a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of data-driven decision-making. Our team is passionate about leveraging data to drive business growth and enhance customer experiences. We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our ranks and contribute to our success. You’ll work on solutions and technologies to help our clients of areas as Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, move their on-premises data warehouses to the cloud products like Databricks, Big Query and others. You work to provide thought leadership solutions, and support others with your expertise.
Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Design and Build Data Pipelines: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust data pipelines that meet business requirements. Assemble and process large datasets using Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Identify areas for improvement in data infrastructure and implement scalable solutions. Automate manual processes to enhance efficiency.
- Support the deployment and implementation of a new technologies across the business, serving as a connector between functions.
- Create analytical tools that provide actionable insights into key business metrics.
- Building knowledge and capabilities in emerging technologies or improving the existing one by keeping a focus on the market trend.
- Support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Facilitate and participate in code reviews, retrospectives, functional and integration testing, data validation and other team activities focused on improving quality of data and delivery.
- Work closely with stakeholders to address data-related technical challenges.
- Adapt systems to meet changing business needs.
- Ensure the compliance of the solutions, fulfilling the IT guidelines.
- Have a role of bridge between IT (Internal and external) and the functions for cross functional tools and implementation.
- Provide guidance to the productivity Hub in Bangalore, coordinating project implementation.
- Participate in the Service Center Organization community and / or expert network, to achieve improvements in different processes.

Competences
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Engineering
- Strong proficiency in Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Experience with big data technologies.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Java.
- Understand and simplify business needs and translate it into business value.
- Familiarity with building scalable ETL pipelines in AWS.
- Minimal 4+ years’ experience in data warehousing/BI/analytics
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer
- 2 years’+ experience in people or project management
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working in Cloud platforms.
- Understanding of migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT, and BI required
- At least 12 months of experience work with/in Databricks
- Profound knowledge in Tableau and /Or Power BI
- High level of English spoken and written
- Excellent Communication skills in multilingual environment, capable of working in an international environment.
