The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

China Sr. Network Engineer role reporting to the China Network & Telecom Manager. Engineer focused on multiple technologies and network services: Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless, Wide Area Network (WAN), Voice and Contact Centre (VoIP), DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (IPAM), Cloud, CNF & DC, Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Network Access Control (NAC), Remote Access.

Collaborate, support and influence strategic managed service partner(s) and vendors, Site Network Services team, Network Architect, Cloud, CNF & DC Network team, Network Site Network Services Team, Network Automation team, Network Security team, Network PMO team, IT Security organization, Area Infrastructure organizations and other global IT product teams.

The role includes planning, designing, implementing, managing and supporting technology devices and services alongside strategic managed service partners

•      Individual contributor with self-driven approach for career and skills development and workload prioritisation.

•      Vendor collaboration including continuous improvement of managed service partners and OEMs.

•      Technology and Services scope includes: LAN, Wireless, WAN, VoIP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Cloud, CNF & DC, Firewall, IPS, NAC, Remote Access.

•      Contribution to program/project planning, and budget expense information gathering and management activities.

•      Contribute to technology and service strategy, as part of an overall roadmap led by the Network Architect.

•      Compliance to service level targets, hardware and code lifecycle, vulnerability remediation.

Job Requirements

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

•  Overall 10+ years IT experience, 5+ years of Network and Telecom experience

•  Broad network knowledge

•  Aptitude and interest to develop skills across broad range of technology and services

•  Strong trouble-shooting skills, complex incident management response, demonstrated experience of problem and root-cause investigation

•  Fluent English speaking and writing

• Certifications:

• The holding of a CCIE certification is a Must. It can be Routing and Switching, Wireless, Security or others. Holding 2 or more CCIE certification is well preferred. The other certifications like AWS/Azure Certifications, VMware Certifications, Palo Alto Networks Certifications , Fortinet Certifications , CISP or equivalent certifications are also preferred and can be considered as a value added.
